DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

UNIVERSITY PLANETARIUM

The Angelo State University Planetarium is one of the largest and technically sophisticated planetarium theaters located on a university campus. At the heart of the theater is the Spitz 512 projector which is capable of projecting over 4,000 stars.

The planetarium is used as a physics classroom for astronomy, physical science, and geology classes. School and public planetarium programs are given when A.S.U. classes are in session.  The A.S.U. Planetarium is located on the first floor of the Vincent Science Building.
